Hair styles to prevent hair damage

There are plenty of ways to protect your hair and prevent damage from happening to your beautiful hair. First and foremost, make sure your hair is moisturized. Dryness breaks the hair and creates split ends. As the hair becomes dry, it begins to split at the ends and continues to work it to the root.
Shea butter and coconut oil are great for moisturizing and conditioning the hair shaft. When styling your hair it is beneficial that you don't use products with alcohol. The alcohol is a drying agent that would only defeat the purpose of keeping the hair moisturized. Then you would have to put more oils and moisturizers on the hair to prevent it from drying out and that would cause buildup, therefore clogging the pores and keeping the hair from sprouting through.
Keeping your hair constantly trimmed can also assist your hair on the growth journey as this keeps the split ends at bay. When styling your hair be sure to refrain from using to much heat on the hair. This is very damaging, causing frizz. However, if you must use some heat to style your hair be sure to use some type of heat protectant. I personally use a foam wrap that has a heat protectant in it, which brings me to yet another issue.
Protective styles: there are plenty of ways to protect one's hair in a style. One example can be braids. Braiding the hair locks in moisture and protects against too much friction and movement to the hair, thus allowing it to thrive in a woven shield. Weave is also sometimes used by many people to shield their hair from becoming damaged also from the sun's UV rays.
If you keep these tips and strategies at hand, your hair is surely to thrive.
